W czwartek 20 lipca br. odbyła się XXVIII Sesja Rady Powiatu Legnickiego, którą na prośbę Zarządu Powiatu zwołał Przewodniczący Rady Powiatu Aleksander Kostuń. Sesja została zwołana w trybie nadzwyczajnym, w celu przyjęcia uchwały w sprawie zmiany w budżecie powiatu legnickiego oraz zmiany w Wieloletniej Prognozie Finansowej Powiatu Legnickiego. Wprowadzane zmiany wynikają z przyznania ponad 300 tys. zł dla powiatu legnickiego ze środków PFRON, w ramach „Programu wyrównywania różnic między regionami III”, na realizację projektów: pn. „Przełamywanie barier emocjonalno-społecznych osób niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie i ruchowo, uczestników Środowiskowego Domu Samopomocy nr 1 w Chojnowie” oraz pn. „Likwidacja barier transportowych w Środowiskowym Domu Samopomocy nr 2 w Chojnowie – zakup autobusu”. Wspomniane środki, wraz ze funduszami własnymi, przeznaczone będą na zakup dwóch pojazdów transportowych, przystosowanych do przewozu osób niepełnoprawnych.
Władze powiatu wiele uwagi poświęcają realizacji zadań oświatowych w Powiatowym Zespole Szkół w Chojnowie. Każda możliwość pozyskania pozabudżetowych środków finansowych jest wykorzystywana, dlatego też tak wiele prac remontowych było i jest prowadzonych zarówno wewnątrz budynków szkolnych jak i na zewnątrz. Duże zmiany zachodzące w estetyce i funkcjonalności pomieszczeń są bardzo pozytywnie postrzegane zarówno przez uczniów szkoły jak i przez ogół mieszkańców Chojnowa. Wysokość pozyskanych środków to 2,5 mln zł.
XXVII Sesję Rady Powiatu Legnickiego, która odbyła się 29 czerwca rozpoczęto niezwykle miłym akcentem. Przed rozpoczęciem posiedzenia swoją twórczość zaprezentował Zespół Ludowy „Przyjaciółki” z Niedźwiedzic, który zajął pierwsze miejsce w Zimowej Edycji Listy Przebojów Ludowych Radia Wrocław. Nagrodą w konkursie radiowym będzie nagranie płyty z własnymi przebojami. Z okazji zwycięstwa gratulacje, życzenia oraz prezent na ręce Pana Józefa Przyłuckiego kierownika zespołu i Sołtysa Niedźwiedzic złożyli Starosta Legnicki Janina Mazur oraz Przewodniczący Rady Powiatu Aleksander Kostuń.
W ramach zorganizowanej jubileuszowej, bo dwudziestej edycji akcji letniej „Dzieci z Kresów Gośćmi Piastowskiej Ziemi Dolnośląskiej” w naszym urzędzie gościliśmy grupę 24 dzieci i 5 opiekunów, którzy przyjechali do nas z Kresów, a dokładnie z takich miejscowości Ukrainy jak: Żółkiew, Nowy Rozdół, Dawidów, Koziatyn, Korostyszów, Winnica, Kamieniec Podolski, Berdyczów, Berezne oraz Lwów. Dzieci zwiedzały okolicę, tutejsze zabytki oraz poznawały polską historię. Nasi rodacy zza wschodniej granicy spotkali się również z przedstawicielami naszego powiatu.
W dniu 20 czerwca 2017 roku odbyła się czwarta już edycja imprezy rekreacyjno-zdrowotnej pn. nazwą „Marszem po zdrowie”. W przedsięwzięciu, które odbyło się pod Patronatem Honorowym Starosty Legnickiego wzięło udział ok. 200 osób niepełnosprawnych i miłośników Nordic Walking. Organizatorami imprezy byli: Powiat Legnicki oraz Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie w Legnicy, Dom Pomocy Społecznej „Prząśnik” w Brenniku, Dom Pomocy Społecznej w Legnickim Polu oraz Powiatowa Społeczna Rada ds. Osób Niepełnosprawnych.
XXII Regionalna Wystawa Zwierząt Hodowlanych, XXXVII Dni Otwarte Doradztwa Rolniczego i Piknik drobiowy odbędą się 24 i 25 czerwca br. na terenie kompleksu pałacowo – parkowego w Piotrowicach. Podczas imprezy hodowcy bydła, trzody chlewnej, owiec, koni, królików, drobiu ozdobnego i gołębi będą prezentować swoje zwierzęta.
